Papers of Henry Percival Wellings. 1810-1965.

Note books, manuscript notes, correspondence, photographs and newspaper clippings relating to the history of Eden, Twofold Bay, the whaling industry, Ben Boyd and the Keon and Plunkett families. There are also copies of the "Registrars Record Book, Court of Petty Sessions for the District of Eden" and selections from the records of Eden Court for the period 1836-1865.

Henry Wellings, 1884-1971, was a shipping agent, accountant and photographer who lived in the Eden district all his life. He wrote many articles on the history of the region for the local newspaper, the article on the Imlay brothers for the "Australian dictionary of biography", pamphlets on Boyd, the Imlay brothers and the history of Eden. Arrived Port Jackson 1842, embarked on various enterprises including shipping, pastoral, whaling and a bank with Joseph Robinson as partner. All failed.
